I cut up ALL of my credit cards today!
This is the first of many steps I’m taking to make myself more responsible. I am going to try that novel idea of saving for the things I want. This completely undermines my current “instant gratification” motto. I happen to have taste that my budget can in no way support, and I’m not sure how this is going to go. But working in financial services makes me feel somewhat obligated to be a good example.
I also need to take responsibility for my health. My favorite foods are potatoes, cheese, Sour Patch Kids, and Coca-Cola Classic. I realize that I am jeopardizing my future by continuing to eat like a college kid, so I’m going to start cutting back big time and hitting the gym. I tell myself this about once per week, so it’s time to commit!
