I'm a twenty-something in Northwest Arkansas trying to find her direction in this life. A perfectionist despite the fact that I often write in run-on sentences and have an unhealthy addiction to using parentheses and dashes. A self-proclaimed dork with a fun side and a color-coordinated closet.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been this excited about a book coming out!  After reading Shiver and Linger, I’m counting down the days until Forever!  Everyone go read Shiver and Linger and then order and autographed copy of Forever: http://www.fountainbookstore.com/autograph-maggie

55 Days Until My Wedding!

Bridal Bootcamp (Round II) starts tomorrow.  I have no motivation but am short on time so hopefully that will keep me in line.  I kicked it off by eating T-bone steak, homemade potato chips, and drinking mimosas. Tomorrow begins just fewer than 8 weeks of food hell and early mornings of cardio.  Why can’t I be one of those girls who loves eating carrots and running marathons????

“You will remember a bird completely covered in oil.  In the eyes, you can see there’s something wrong.  And you can study it.  The eyes always tell a story.”

DENIS PAQUIN, deputy director of photography at the Associated Press, remarking on photographs of oil-soaked pelicans on East Grande Terre Island, LA. June 3; the photos, each and every one emotionally devastating, were taken by the AP’s Charlie Riedel and may be viewed here.
This is what BP doesn’t want the world to see.  This is what BP is downplaying with sound bites and photo ops.  This is what BP is really doing: killing its workers and destroying our coastline and erasing life, one oil-choked animal at a time.
This is fucking sad.  And BP must be held fully accountable.

Marriage is a choice. A choice to share. A choice to stop only considering yourself. A choice to choose your mate and put them first. Don’t lack follow-through and always mean what you say.

From new blog discovery Love, Milk and Honey.

This is the truth.

Blogging Again

For all 17 or so of you who actually read this at one time, thanks!  If you’re still reading it, thanks again!  Sorry it’s been a year and a half.  In the mean time, I decorated my house, met a man, bought a dog, and am planning a wedding (mine) that will happen in 64 days.  My new life in a nut shell :)
